What is this game?

Micro Poker is a classic video poker game heavily inspired by RAY Pokeri, a Finnish video poker game from 1986, and a game called Kasino 2000. This game reimagines the classic RAY Pokeri with a stylized, low-resolution look.

This was a small project where I aimed to learn a few new things in my game-making journey. One of those things was how to make everything run on an internal resolution while allowing the option to choose the resolution of the window. This way, the game can be played in any resolution while maintaining the default internal resolution of 128 x 128px. Resolution was inspired by Pico-8, a virtual console that runs at a 128 x 128px resolution. The font is also chosen to keep the Pico-8 theme.

How to play?
----------------
This game is played with the mouse and follows the typical rules of classic video poker. The game is played with 53 cards (a standard 52-card deck plus 1 joker). The rules are as follows:

1. Choose your bet size (1-5), before the cards are dealt.
2. In the first round, you will be dealt 5 face-up cards. You can choose which cards to keep by clicking the "Hold" button or the card itself.
3. The cards that are not held will be discarded, and new cards will be dealt to replace them.
4. The goal is to form traditional poker hands.

Winning hands and their payouts:
Five of a Kind: bet x 40
Straight Flush: bet x 20
Four of a Kind: bet x 15
Full House: bet x 10
Flush: bet x 5
Straight: bet x 4
Three of a Kind: bet x 3
Two Pairs: bet x 2
Jack or Better: bet x 1

The game has an RTP of around 95-96%.

After getting a winning hand, you can choose to double your winnings if it is 100 or less. To double, you must guess whether the card is smaller than 7 by pressing the "Small" button or bigger than 7 by pressing the "Big" button. If the card is 7, you lose the bet.

You can see the winning hand by pressing the "paytable" button in game. If you run out of money, you will be return to the main menu. You can start new game from there. 

You can return to main menu by clicking on "wins" button and continue the game by choosing continue from the main menu. The game does not have any save future, so the game starts "fresh" every time. Good luck!
