Game Introduction
------------------------
This game is from nearly 20 years ago. The game is based on the original Reload Poker, which was initially created using QB (QuickBasic). While the core idea remains the same, this version introduces entirely new graphical and audio elements that were not possible to implement in QB.

This is not just an update or a direct port of the original version – the entire game has been rewritten from scratch. The idea for this project originated a few months ago when I finally felt motivated to create a proper poker game. Now the tools are available: a solid BASIC-based programming language, sufficient skill, and experience.

I have previously created several versions or variations of Reload Poker using QB, but, as often happens, limitations were reached, and some features simply couldn’t be implemented.

Here it is now: the newest and by far the best version yet, Reload Poker – Cb-edition 1.1.

How to Start the Game?

- Extract Reload Poker – Cb-edition v1.1.7z to a folder of your choice.
- Click on Reload_poker.exe in the folder to launch the game.
- By clicking on Highscore_reset.exe, you can reset the Highscore list.

Controls
-----------
- P = Bet
- Enter = Deal
- 1–5 = Lock cards
- V = Payout
- T = Double (Gamble)
- I = High (when gambling)
- P = Low (when gambling)
- ESC = Quit the game at any point

Known Bugs
----------------
10-A Straight: In some tests, winning with a 10-A straight was not possible. However, in the latest tests, this issue no longer occurred. Still, occasional issues may arise.

Screen Flickering: On some setups, the screen or window might flicker randomly. While this does not significantly impact gameplay, it was an annoying issue during testing, and no fix has been found yet.

Background Music: The menu background music might occasionally behave erratically. I couldn’t get it to function perfectly. If it bothers you, sounds can be turned off from the menu.

No other major bugs are currently known.

Note: The graphics are not a bug but a feature. I am not a professional graphic designer, and no volunteers stepped up, so it is what it is.
